Estos son los casos que resalta el reportaje:
– Chiloeches, un municipio situado entre Alcalá de Henares y Madrid.
– Horche. Tiene 1.175 habitantes y estaba previsto que tuviera el triple.
– Ciudad Valdeluz, en Yebes. Tiene 700 habitantes y estaba previsto que, gracias al AVE y a su proximidad con Guadalajara, atrajera a 30.000 personas. Sí dio tiempo a construir un campo de golf de 18 hoyos. La foto que ilustra este artículo se corresponde con las obras de esta nueva ciudad.
– La Serena Golf Resort, en Los Alcázares. Es un complejo de vacaciones que se ha quedado vacío.
– Quer. Un pueblo que iba a tener miles de habitantes y hoy solo tiene 449.
– Residencial Francisco Hernando, en Seseña. El monumento urbanístico del Pocero se compone de decenas de bloques en los que la mayor parte de los apartamentos están vacíos.
– Yebes.
– Alovera, que hoy tiene 5.636 habitantes.
– Yuncos, que tiene 6.000 habitantes, aunque debería haber llegado a tener el triple.
– Soto del Henares, en Torrejón de Ardoz. Se han construido 13.500 viviendas pero solo hay 3.000 ocupadas.
– Ojos del Salado, en Granada. Una promoción que está completamente vacía.
Y podríamos añadir alguno más:
– Costa Miño Golf, una urbanización promovida por Martinsa-Fadesa entre A Coruña y Ferrol sobre 1.586 metros cuadrados. Se llegaron a construir 1.268 viviendas, pero a día de hoy, cinco años después, más de la mitad están vacías.
– Ciudad Zaragoza Golf, una urbanización de lujo promovida por la firma inmobiliaria Wilcox en la localidad zaragoza de La Muela, donde políticos corruptos, molinos de viento y constructores se mezclaron en los años en que España aspiraba a ser la décima potencia económica del mundo. El complejo iba a tener 2.500 viviendas, parques infantiles, centro comercial y campo de golf. Todo se quedó en el folleto, aunque las calles sí que están urbanizadas.
