¿Cuál es la ciudad más visitada de España? El Instituto Nacional de Estadística lo ha calculado en función de las pernoctaciones totales en 2013. Según sus datos, Barcelona se impuso con 17,2 millones, seguida de Madrid (16 millones), Benidorm (13,3 millones), Palma (8,3 millones) y Torremolinos (5,4 millones).
En la cola figuran varias localidades de los cinturones industriales de Madrid y Barcelona, además de Elda. Normalmente son ciudades que no tienen atractivos turísticos ni una infraestructura hotelera importante.
Este es el ranking de las 15 principales:
