El Modelo Madrid
La alcaldesa de Madrid, Ana Botella, habló el otro día por primera vez de lo que denominó “el Modelo Madrid”. ¿De qué se trata? A tenor de sus palabras, de la aplicación de políticas liberales a la gestión de las ciudades, con el fin de facilitar al máximo las inversiones de empresas privadas como fuente de crecimiento y creación de empleo.
Botella se refería especialmente al ámbito de las telecomunicaciones, donde el Ayuntamiento de Madrid parece haber cedido todo el protagonismo a los operadores para que instalen sus propias redes. Así, Telefónica tiene previsto invertir 200 millones de euros para cubrir el 100% de la capital para 2015 y un total de 1,3 millones de hogares y empresas para finales de 2012.
