Barcelona, segunda ciudad del mundo en congresos internacionales

Con un total de 148 encuentros profesionales durante el año 2010, Barcelona continúa siendo la segunda ciudad del mundo que acoge más congresos internacionales, según la clasificación de la Asociación de Congresos y Convenciones Internacionales. Madrid apareció por primera vez en este ránking en 2009 en posición 13ª y este año pasa a la sexta.
Barcelona, con 81.933 participantes, se sitúa también en segunda posición con respecto a la cantidad de participantes en estos encuentros profesionales y supera la capital austríaca que, con 69.573 participantes, se queda en cuarta posición. Berlín, con 106.171 participantes, es la líder mundial.
