Telefónica invertirá 4 millones de euros para convertir a Barcelona en capital móvil
Telefónica apuesta firmemente por Barcelona. La operadora aportará cuatro millones de euros para consolidar a la ciudad catalana como hub de las tecnologías móviles. En concreto, cederá terrenos para la Fundación Mobile World Capital, consolidará la incubadora de empresas Wayra en la ciudad y gestionará desde Barcelona todos sus proyectos sobre ciudades inteligentes.
Por si fuera poco, trabaja actualmente para llevarse la Campus Party de Valencia a Barcelona, dada la decisión de las autoridades levantinas de recortar sus subvenciones a este evento. Hay que recordar que Telefónica inauguró recientemente en la capital catalana un nuevo edificio que hace las veces de sede central de la compañía para la región. Además, cuenta desde hace años con un director específico que se ocupa de Cataluña, Kim Faur.
