Al Ayuntamiento de Barcelona no le gustan los nombres de calles de Google Maps
El uso creciente de Google Maps está generando problemas inesperados. Como que los nombres de las calles no coinciden con los que se utilizan habitualmente. Estoy seguro de que todos conocemos algún caso cercano, pero son especialmente abundantes en las comunidades autónomas donde hay dos idiomas oficiales (y dos formas de denominar a las calles). En Barcelona quieren poner un poco de orden a todo esto.
El Ayuntamiento de la capital condal ha pedido a Google que corrija los nombres y no utilice exclusivamente la versión castellanizada sino la oficial. El Consistorio recuerda que esta información está disponible libremente en open data. Y pone un ejemplo: Travessera de Dalt (nombre oficial) ha sido sustituido por “Travesía de Arriba” (nombre castellanizado).
