A la caza de los chicles
Nada más y nada menos que 56.000 chicles han retirado de las calles de Barcelona los servicios municipales de limpieza entre marzo y julio de este año. Nada dicen del coste que ha tenido este trabajo, pero que será sin duda importante y que se podría haber evitado con una mayor conciencia ciudadana. Que un chicle acabe en el suelo es síntoma de que al que lo ha consumido le importa muy poco la limpieza de su entorno.
Quitar una goma de este tipo no suele ser sencillo porque, por sus características, se pegan al suelo. Los equipos de limpieza utilizan agua en presión y vapor de agua, con una técnica optimizada que emplea detergentes biodegradables. Las zonas con más chicles en la acera son las más transitadas, sobre todo las de los distritos de Gràcia y Ciutat Vella, así como puntos concretos de la ciudad, como delante de la Illa Diagonal y cerca del Camp Nou.
